The information in this manual will help you use the Bitmain Antminer L7‘s New PSU properly by explaining what you should and shouldn’t do with it.

Precautions for Use of PSU. This Applies to All APW Series PSU.

12 Do’s to Follow

1. Bitmain Antminer L7 uses APW121417 power supply. Purchase a plug that is compatible with your local power outlets and complies with local standards because there are more than a dozen different types of AC power plugs and sockets used throughout the world. The C13 cord (a typical desktop power cord) is what we use for our APW series.

  • The power cord needs to be at least 10 A.
  • Minimum length should be 1.5 meters.
  • Cross sectional area of cable’s copper conductor should not be smaller than 1 mm2

2. Make sure that the voltage and outlets in your area meet the needs of the PSU and the Bitmain Antminer L7 miners. The output voltage from the outlet or socket needs to match the starting voltage needed by the power supply unit (PSU).

Ascertain that the PSU’s input voltage must range from 210 V to 240 V. The PSU’s output voltage must match what the Bitmain Antminer L7 demand.

3. Before using, check the PSU to make sure it is in good shape and was not damaged during shipping; if it was, it cannot be used.

4. Make sure the PSU is properly grounded and wired.

5. Install lightning protection if you don’t want your equipment to be damaged by lightning.

6. Install the PSU in an area with free airflow and no obstructions to it.

7. Reduce the PSU’s power output to significantly increase its lifespan.

  • We advise against loading power exceeding 90% of the PSU’s rated power.

8. Keep the PSU’s temperature below 50 degrees Celsius. Every 10 degrees Celsius increase in temperature results in a 10 percent reduction in the PSU’s half life.

9. Correctly attach the hash boards and control boards of the Bitmain Antminer L7 using the positive and negative ports of D/C power 6-pin connectors.

11. Bitmain Antminer L7 need two power cords for the power supply. The power supply can output when both power outlets are required to deliver power simultaneously. The power supply has no output if only one is inserted.
12. The APW12 power supply is divided into two power supply standards, which are distinguished by the model, namely APW12-1215a/b/c and APW12-1417a/b/c. Bitmain Antminer L7 uses APW121417 power supply. The two are not synonymous. When changing the power supply, remember to bring an adapter.

5 Don’ts to Follow

1. While the power supply unit is powered, avoid plugging or unplugging the power connectors. Before plugging in or unplugging, make sure the power has been turned off. Voltaic arcs produced by too much DC can harm DC output terminals and present a fire risk.

2. Use the PSU outside of confined spaces. It is forbidden to place anything that could obstruct the PSU’s airflow.

3. The PSU also can’t be used in environments with a lot of condensation, a lot of salt in the air, or a lot of humidity.

4. Never try to power a PSU that seems to be damaged.

5. Never attempt to repair the PSU yourself or disassemble it. If you discover any issues with your PSU, investigate further or send it back to us for repair.
